i have a problem with my log on in the idm on eclipse.
If i try to log on with my pc it doesn't work.
If i try it on the Server (eclipse is installed there, too) it does work.
In the past it´s run correctly. with my pc.
But now i don't know what i have to do.
Is there a step by step guide that explain how to create it on eclipse?

I have written a To Custom Pass in which I am trying to write a user in a file using JAVA class.
As per my knowledge I have defined the PassType, Parameter & Value correctly but when I ran that job got following error. I am using SAP IDM 7.2 SP10.
Running pass failed to load class HelloWorld
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.sap.idm.ic.HelloWorld
I have already added DirectoryPath of HelloWorld class in CLASSPATH also.
Attached the relevant screenshots for reference.
Could you please help me to fix this error.

I got in a very interesting discussions lately about the SAP NW IdM 8.0 and NW AS Java landscape.
A customer who is planning to implement SAP NW IdM was told that both SAP NW IdM 8.0 and AS Java can share the same server in Production.
I know it's a best practice to separate SAP NW IdM backend application and SAP NW AS Java, but how do you convince a customer?
Technically it's possible to have both on the same server but from a practical point of view this is bad design.
The customer doesn't have any other SAP applications, so the AS Java will be used for SAP NW IdM only.
What are the cons and pros for having SAP NW IdM and NW AS Java on the same server?
I am looking forward hearing your thoughts?

Version: 8.0 on Oracle 11g
While creating an user using standard "Create Identity" form, I get the error as below,
I have filled in all mandatory attribute. This error was already reported in our community for 7.2 Error on IDM UI
I tried all solutions mentioned in that thread. Also i tried to create a custom form for creating identities with only 4 attributes (MSKEYVALUE, DISPLAYNAME, FIRST NAME, LAST NAME) and it threw the same error.
When I checked the link in the address bar, I see

May be the error is due to EntryId=0?
Anyone else faced this issue and rectified? Any possible cause for this error? Also it would be very helpful if you can open "Create Identity" in your system and check if EntryId=0 for you as well.

I have encountered an situation where the user requested for assignment of the role and immediately requested for deassignment of the same role.

In some earlier posts i believe i have seen some one suggesting to change the mcexexstate to 1 and then reconcile the user assignments and then remove the role.
If the above solutions needs to be implemented then which record i need to update in the mxi_link table. is it only record with status with 1536?
Can you kindly help me in this scenario.

I am using MXREF_MX_PRIVILEGE attribute for role assignment / deassignment from IDM UI using assign tasks. I did the initial load for my all backend connected system and tested the provisioning framework.
Role assignment is happening as expected but I am facing issue while removing the role from user account:
1. When I tried to remove a privilege which came as part of initial load, Removal happens as expected. No error.
2. While removing direct assignments for the roles which I assigned through IDM UI , I am getting Error :
Unable to set value for attribute Assigned Privileges. Detailed information (may not be translated): Entry does not exist
What can be the issue ?
I also get coupe of warning in my System logs, would be great if you can put some light on below warnings:
Syslog warning: MXP_PROV_BASIC: Task not activated or undefined entry
Syslog Warning: mxi_create_PVO: neither MX_APPLICATION_ID for 5455 (During priviege assignment)
Syslog Warning: Constant ENABLED_FOR was not defined in the repository (8) (While apply pending on Group job)

We have installed IDM8.0 on a Linux envirnoment, now I want to start/stop the dispatchers from command line and automatic via the profiles.
The IDM7.2 syntax doesn't seem to work, and when executing the Dispatcher_Service_xxx scripts there are only a few options (runonce|checkconfig|test)
I can't find the right syntax in the manuals, pls advice

Hi Experts,
In IDM 7.2 UI user creation form date format for attribute Valid from and Valid To is mm/dd/yyyy and now client requires this in format dd/mm/yyyy.
I checked these two attribute details in UI task but there is no option available to do the modification. As this is field where manual input is required could you please help me to find a solution.

I'm trying to create a VDS configuration that will expose certain attributes to another application. As part of this I wanted to apply a filter on the Data Source so that only entries of type MX_PERSON are available to search. Currently when doing an LDAP query on the base node it's possible to see all entries including privileges, groups etc. I know it's possible to filter in the LDAP query, but this isn't what I'm after.
I created the configuration using the 'IDM Identity Center 72.xml' template and then have tried applying applying the filter by maintaining the 'Additional filter' field on the 'Database' tab of the Data Source. I have tried several different combinations such as:
mcEntryType=MX_PERSON
mcEntryType='MX_PERSON'
mx_entrytype=MX_PERSON
mx_entrytype='MX_PERSON'
objectclass=MX_PERSON
objectclass='MX_PERSON'
and updated the configuration each time before re-attempting the search. Nothing seems to work. Based on the VDS help documentation it is my understanding that whatever information entered here should be included in the SQL WHERE clause. Based on that understanding 2 or 4 from the above should work on an Oracle database. I can't find any information anywhere on the data structure used for this template so am not sure what table/view it might be pulling from.
The connector is using MxIDStoreFlat72.
Anyone any ideas? Is there anything that I'm missing?

I started to work in a SAP Identity Management Project. I want to integrate as primary source for identity information SAP HCM. Nowadays my client has SAP ECC 6.0 on SQL Server 2008 but there are a migration plan SAP ECC on hana, so I wondering, if I start to work with the actual versión and then do a upgrade, is a good option?, I mean, What I should do to upgrade IDM to the new SAP ECC ? If would be dificult? I am very novice in the topic, is the first time that used SAP Identity Management. I will appreciate your help.

Issue1:
I am struggling to find why active user id not searchable in basic search but searchable in advanced search.
See screenshots below.
Issue2:
When I try to remove privilege from this active user, I see the error given below. It seems that IDM understand that entry(user id) does not exist. I think this issue occurs due to Issue1 mentioned above.
"Unable to set value for attribute Member of Privilege. Detailed information (may not be translated): Entry does not exist"
Can you please help me to know why these issues occur and how to resolve them ?

Weeks ago, I asked same topic to here and get many comments helpful.
But still I am not at the required point that I like to get your kind help more.
On my previous question, Matt showed us how to get it with detailed screen shots and description in his blog post.
But his presentation was on IDM 7.2 and some part are not applicable in IDM 8.0 unfortunately.
Specific point of concern is how to make an Initial Load job.
If I look in his initial load job, there are 12 job passes and 20 scripts and many constants.
Matt made it using job wizard using job template (AS Java (Database)- Initial Load).
Unfortunately I can't find any job templates in my environment.
Here,
- is there any way to use job template in 8.0 as like in 7.2?
- or should I make scripts and passes one by one?
And for the passes in Initial Load Job,
where can I get information of each passes like 'create account attributes' or 'Prepare MX_REPOSITORYNAME Arrtibute', etc.
What it does and how to make, etc.
Saying my situation,
I am preparing a POC for a current SAP customer which will get employee data from HCM and provision to SAP ERP and custom systems.
But in this country, there was no SAP IDM reference so far that no one have experience for SAP IDM at all.
This is very beginning in this country.
So I need your help indeed.

During implementation we have encountered a strange problem. In Developer studio we are missing few information in every job log.
Developer studio job log is missing Provisioned entries view. Job log in IDM admin portal seems to have all required things.
This job log thing seems to happen on all jobs regardless of what kind of job am i running.
We are using IDM 8.0 SP00
What I've already tried:
- change system job log level to debug
- change dispatcher log level to trace/debug
Does anyone have any idea why job log in developer studio doesn't show all informations?

We have a service failing on our idm server. This is an application server running idm 7.2 sp8 on Windows 2008 R2. The service failure looks like this.
System Log - Event 7031 - Error - The MxDispatcher_idmap1 service terminated unexpectedly.
In the logs, at the same time, I see the following:

I have looked at the server and see no issues. The OS is good. The SQL server also has no issues. It isn't even busy. Ping times to the SQL server are in the single millisecond range.
Any ideas on why the dispatcher may be failing? It does this once or twice a day.

We got some requirements and can you please provide suggestions to build this.
The requirement is to disable one field(attribute) in UI for the user, based on the user country.
For example, If user country key is IN, for this user, Country key should be invisible in web UI.
But for other users(other country key), it needs to be visible.
Is there any way to do it on dynamically(i.e based on the country key,attribute in UI should be invisible).

I'm running IDM 7.2 sp9 patch10.
We are going to connect IDM to an Oracle DB in order to manage some users and access rights in it. We'll use stored procedures from this same DB.
I'm currently able to execute a test procedure with a toDBpass in SQL updating mode, and able to retrieve any error message that can be writtent by the procedure.
I wanted to know if it would be possible to catch a return string from the procedure that wouldn't be an error? If so, what would be the syntax in the procedure and in IDM to catch it?
If not, i imagined writing the string in some table and then read it from IDM, but first i'd like to know if the other option is possible.

Hi, my name is Raphael and I'm new here.
I was following the basic synchronization tutorial to better understand this tool. I created all repositories according to the document. I'm using a dispatcher that is already in use here. At this point everything were working well.
I have created the ODBC connection for people.mdb archive in my Administrative Tools, named as people, and added this configuration into my People repository. But I'm having problems with the Destination options. I defined the Database option with %ddm.indentitycenter% and the Table name as tutorial_persons. But when I select "Insert template / Data source template" an error is shown: "Fetching data source template failed. Modify the database connection string or the SQL statement and try again"
The statement used is the same as the tutorial.
